ReGenVen Studio emerged from UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology
Our Origin Story
In Fall 2025, the Sutardja Center of Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) at UC Berkeley introduced a new course: The Regenerative Ventures Challenge Lab which brought together 40+ students from widely different backgrounds and disciplines, and put them through an intensive process of team formation, problem discovery and venture building.
The result? Eight viable startups addressing real regenerative challenges across finance, climate, health, policy and economic equity.
But here is what matters most: these ventures weren't built in isolation by solo founders chasing personal exits, by diverse teams who learned to listen faster, collaborate deeper and create solutions that don't trade off one stakeholder for another.
From this class, the venture studio was born, and we're making it official.

ReGenVen Studio emerged from UC Berkeley's Sutardja of Entrepreneurship and Technology, one of the world's most innovative entrepreneurship programs. We maintain close ties to Berkeley's ecosystem while operating independently to support founders at their earliest and riskiest stages.
